After much time spent corresponding between San Diego and San Francisco, we finally got to meet up with Jenny and Ian to shoot their engagement session in SLO town. We love pictures, we love SLO, and now we love Jenny and Ian! We had a ton of fun cruising around town and country finding great locations capturing some great shots.  

Welcome to the first blog post of STUDIO:castillero!

We should probably start out by explaining a little bit about who we are, just in case you have never met us.  We are a young husband and wife team. We specialize in artistic and edgy photography and love expressing ourselves through our photography. Rico’s background is in architectural design, but throughout design school developed a love for photography and graphic design. Rico and Rachel met at school where she was studying business with an emphasis in HR. She had always been artistic and once she was introduced to photography she instantly picked it up and was producing amazing photographs. Because of our love of graphic design, we offer our clients design services that include “save the date” cards, invitations, programs, custom albums, and even custom wedding logos. We love  when we can carry a theme throughout our client’s entire wedding experience. We always show up to a wedding with two shooters so that we are ensured multi-perspective views on the wedding day. We don’t charge by the hour, because we don’t feel that a bride and groom should be pressed for time at their wedding.
