Wedding 04.29.2009 IAN jenny

I’m so excited to post more pictures from Jenny and Ian’s San Francisco wedding…I gave you a little glimpse back in March, but now it’s time for the real deal. When we met Jenny she talked about how much she loves high fashion and how she wanted to incorporate that into the style of her photos…we LOVE trying out different types of styles, and thought that this would be right up our alley. It definitely helped that Jenny was pretty much a high fashion model herself…just look at the pictures below!!! She’s guaranteed to blow you away, there are very few people that can feel that comfortable in front of the camera and look like they are straight out of Vogue (I am definitely NOT one of those people, hence the reason I tend to stay behind the camera). Ian pretty much rocked it himself…he kept saying he was not photogenic, but we knew better….you’ll see the truth below and in their engagements

Basically, the day rocked….Jenny and Ian, you were a joy to shoot and a huge blessing to get to know. We can’t wait to spend some more time with you in the future!

Special props go out to the wedding coordinator Jessica Goldblatt, who was calm and collected the entire time and made sure everything was running smoothly. You were a pleasure to work with Jessica and hopefully we’ll be seeing you again soon!

And the dress…the beautiful, wish-I-could-wear-this-every-day-of-my-life dress….breathtaking

Jenny loves anime, so we thought this ring shot was very appropriate. Her cake topper was similarly awesome, which you will see very soon…..

This wedding consisted of two ceremonies, the first being a traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony. This picture was taken while she was getting ready for that first ceremony…..

Even the bridesmaids should be in Vogue!!!

I love this next series. We were in the lobby of the hotel, and they had this sweet round couch…couldn’t resist shooting there. These pictures are such a great mix of modern and vintage; a 40s look with a modern twist. Isn’t she stunning???

Her maid of honor was her sister Anna, equally as beautiful.

The church was St Peter and Paul Church in North Beach…I was beside myself when I saw it…pure bliss.

At the reception Jenny changed into this AWESOME reception dress….I love this picture because she reminds me of a movie star in an editorial or something like that. Stunning.

Had to include another one of that dress! I adore her style and now you can see just how fitting the high fashion look was for these two.

What better way to end this post then with a picture of Ian and his best man wowing the guests with their dancing skills…classic.

Portrait 04.27.2009 TRACI andrews

A couple of weeks ago Rico and I had the chance to connect with an old friend of mine, Traci Andrews (we went to high school together). She is an aspiring country singer and needed some pictures for her portfolio. When she approached us to do the shoot, we jumped at the chance because she’s such a natural in front of the camera (which will be obvious to you once you look at her pictures below) AND she’s a blast to spend time with. We drove out to Julian with one of my most successful thrift store finds EVER (the yellow chair) and spent some time shooting in the 30 degree temperature (Traci was such a good sport and didn’t complain once about how cold it was…reminded me of America’s Next Top Model…yes, I admit, I watch it from time to time FOR POSING IDEAS!!!….where they make the girls shoot in crazy conditions, like swimsuits in the snow…Traci, you’re a regular top model). Thanks Traci, you’re such a wonderful person and I can’t wait to spend some more time with you when you pass through San Diego!

I know you want to check out her music, so for a few samples go HERE and HERE (her website will feature some new content soon, so stay tuned!).

Wedding 04.24.2009 NICK megan {GLIMPSE}

I’m back! After a great time in Atlanta, I have returned and what better way to return than with a blog post!!! That’s right, I know you’ve all been waiting to hear about Megan and Nick’s wedding last Saturday at Cambria Pines Lodge. Cambria is one of my favorite places on the central coast and we were so happy to have the opportunity to shoot a wedding there AND it was for two of my favorite people! Megan was my roommate in college, we’ve been through a lot together, and to be a part of her wedding was one of the greatest honors I’ve ever experienced. Megan looked beautiful, and Nick was probably the most excited he’s ever been in his entire life. So take a look at the little teaser below, I know there are only a few pictures, but there will be another post sooner than you know it. In the meantime, you can always check out their engagements again HERE…why? Because they are AWESOME…that’s why.

I love this first picture…it was a moment of prayer before the ceremony. The logo on this picture is what Rico designed for them for their wedding invitations. Yes, that’s right, we offer invitation design as well. I love their logo because it captures Megan and Nick so well. Ok ok, I’ll stop talking, you start looking.
