Well, I have something new to share with you on the blog this Monday. Yes indeed, and it’s pretty awesome (even more awesome than this Owl City I’m listening too, which is pretty good considering Owl City usually motivates me to go skipping down the street…..yes, it’s that happy). OK, SO the post. A few weeks ago we did the senior portraits of the lovely Miss Brecka. I have know Brecka since she was born and it was such an honor to shoot her senior portraits after watching her grow up all these years. Such a beautiful woman she’s becoming (just look at the pictures!). She drove all the way to San Diego from Idaho just so we could spend a few hours running around with a couple of cameras, posing in parking lots, the streets of Bankers Hill, and playing in the ocean in her prom dress. Brecka, you’re a beautiful young woman and we had so much fun documenting this moment of your life. May your senior year be one to remember (in a good way of course!). Enjoy the pics!

And it’s Monday again…those weekends just go by so quickly, don’t they? 

Yesterday we had the EXTREME pleasure of shooting the wedding of Caren and Jesse. It. Was. Fabulous. The wedding took place at the Thursday Club in Point Loma, which might have to be one of my favorite venues yet. If you’re looking for a place to get hitched, check it out, totally worth it. I will give you more details about this wedding when we post a longer blog about their fabulousness in the future, and boy were those details AWESOME. Caren spent so much time on this wedding and did everything herself. Her theme was bird’s nests (I know, so cute right?) and everything was so beautiful and unique (they had a candy table! YES! The groomsmen wore plaid pants and bow ties! Double YES! AND Caren’s dad wore his blue coveralls to walk his daughter down the aisle! TOO MUCH!). Ok, I’ll stop…don’t want to give everything away! Caren and Jesse, enjoy Hawaii and we’ll have more images to share when you get back! You stay tuned also internet friends, you won’t want to miss this one. 

Special thanks to Allison Miller from Carlyle Whitney Photography for assisting us yesterday (and for joining us at the Yard House afterwards for a celebrate-our-wedding-success dinner with some black & tans…good stuff), she was a blast to work with and a total pro behind the camera. I wish you could assist at every wedding Allison! 

I did say I was in a sharing mood today didn’t I (referring to my facebook announcement, so if you’re not a fan yet, you SHOULD become one, just click on the little facebook box above, you won’t regret it)? How about a little e-session action to start out your weekend? Is that a “YES! THANK GOD!” I hear? Well, your wish is my command.

Today I bring you the engagement session of Jodi and Jeremy, who I so lovingly refer to as J&J (they don’t know that yet…welcome to the same inital club you two! I don’t know how many people refer to Rico and I as R&R, fun times). ANYWAYS, I have a migraine today so I will try my best not to go on any tangents and focus on the engagement session glory that is Jodi and Jeremy, yes it’s true. I really really really loved this engagement session. It was so relaxed and they were so easy going, and I really felt like I could be myself with these two, personally and artistically. They are such a joy to be around and if you ever run into them, I recommend asking them to hang out, have coffee, go to the movies…..they’re definitely worth getting to know. I can’t say this enough, but I really had such a great time on this shoot and am just over the top excited for their San Diego wedding in January. J&J you keep on rockin it my friends and I can’t wait to see you again!
