I know, it’s Tuesday! I have a good excuse though! We had a wedding on Saturday then flew to San Fran for an amazing engagement session, then flew back to SD yesterday. So there might not have been a Monday blog post, but we were out shooting more pictures to post on the blog so still just as blog post dedicated. Don’t you think? YES! Also, Tuesday blog posts are pretty freaking awesome if you ask me. Today I wanted to share the engagement session of the hot couple David and Christy….and boy are they one hot couple! Just look at them! I’d be lying to say I didn’t think to myself MANY times during the session “OMG, I wish I had her hair!!!” Stunning, absolutely stunning there Christy, yes you are. AND (I’m sure she gets this a lot or maybe not and I’m just crazy) but doesn’t she look like a certain celebrity? NO NO I’m NOT giving it away, you have to decide for yourself. Seriously though, I had so much fun during this shoot. They are so sweet together and fun to be with and I felt like I was just hanging out with old friends. We started the shoot at Mimi’s because that’s how they met….I love it when a couple brings an aspect of “them” to their engagements, like where they met, or where they went on their first date, etc. Mimi’s was a great location too…loved the colors, oh and definitely can’t complain about the food. I’ll stop talking now so you can see the pictures because I know that’s why you came. Christy and David, seriously, like old friends….you two are so much fun to hang out with and I can’t wait until your Mt Woodsen wedding in May!!! Counting the days my friends!!!!

Don’t you just love Friday? I know I sure do! I have a special announcement for you all today too, so this Friday can be just a tiny bit better. We are joining with Aqua Vivus Productions to offer a new service to you! Yes, that’s right, a collaboration station (as Rico and Tom like to call it) will be happening and it will be pure awesome, I can promise you that. We will be offering our clients an optional add-on to their package called an “e.MOTION” (like engagement in motion…get it? GET IT????). It’s basically a short video vignette of their engagement session including pictures shot by us and video shot by Tom. Basically, it will be like our same-day-edit we did for Jeff & Melissa’s wedding (click HERE to view it). Instead of the wedding though, it will capture the excitement of the engagement that the couple can keep and show at their wedding, on Facebook, or to their kids, and friends all over the world even….you get the idea. It will even be available on BLUray if you want to play it at home in HIGH Def!! Yup 1080p!!
SO, I have included a “Love Story” below that Tom (from Aqua Vivus) offers his clients. Rico helped shoot this video too, and because it was so much fun we thought, “Why NOT offer something similar to our clients? But with a little STUDIOcastillero twist?!” So this isn’t an example per se, but will still give you an idea of what we’re thinking about (To get exactly what Brian & Heidi have here, you’ll have to go to Tom since it won’t be exactly what we’re offering).
The difference with an e.MOTION will be that we will include still photographs mixed in with the video and it will be set to music (so think sweet-survival-of-the-coolest-slideshow-mutation). Happy Monday my friends! I hope you’re all enjoying the start of your week and that your day will be just a little bit better due to the Monday blog post! (my favorite part of Monday, I must admit). I have a good one for you today too. You might remember the Aguirres from a shoot we did with them a while back. They were that adorable family that looked like they came straight out of a magazine. So photogenic, so beautiful and fun to be around, yes that’s them. Well, they decided they wanted to do another shoot with us but this time with just the kids. They also wanted to start later in the day to incorporate some night shots, we love anything that’s a little different than the norm so we happily obliged. I don’t have to say much more about these kids because the pictures speak for themselves on just how adorable they are, so I’ll leave you to it! Thanks for a fabulous shoot once again Aguirres and can’t wait for more to come! Enjoy!
