Happy Thursday everyone! Today is a special day because it’s the birthday of a very dear friend of mine. Carleigh and I were roommates for several years during college and have remained close since then. She is dear to my heart and one of the handful of people I know that truly understands me (a tough task too, I kid you not). Carleigh, I love you and I wish you the best on your birthday. I know you’re heartbroken because of Poppy’s passing, but I just know he’s watching you right now and is celebrating (along with all of us) your life and the beautiful strong woman you’ve become. Thank you for being such a blessing to me and and to everyone around you (I know there are a lot of you out there that feel equally as blessed to have Carleigh in your life).
In honor of Carleigh’s birthday I thought I’d post the wedding video we made for her this past July (if you look closely you might just spot me, I’m one of the bridesmaids). I love you Carlosita and Happy Birthday!!!! xoxoxo
And here we are at Monday again! Don’t the days just fly by? I apologize for the delayed blog post today, we had a late (still very fun) night in LA with a engagement session at USC and a couple client meetings. Have you tried the Library Ale House in Santa Monica? If not, I totally recommend it…thanks to Andie and Doug…you rock!
Ok, so the post today is only a glimpse, HOWEVER we included a few more glimpse pictures than we normally do in order to give you a little bit more fabulousness to look at on this Monday, and this wedding was fabulous indeed! This was the wedding of Teri and Danny that took place at the Inn at Rancho Santa Fe a few weeks ago. EVERY SINGLE detail was perfect and so thoughtful, seriously, every where I looked I was impressed and floored by this couple’s attention to detail. I won’t give away too much, because we’ll post a longer feature on this wedding at a later date, but I just had to share SOMETHING. Oh, and definitely, visit us again for the full length post because you won’t want to miss it (this wedding involved an after party rave, yes, it was that awesome).
Oh, AND more than one blog post this week…I PROMISE PROMISE PROMISE! Then just a quick announcement…..we moved last week and have a new mailing address! So for those of you who need to send us anything (chocolate, cards, Anthropolgie gift cards perhaps?) DEFINITELY email me at rachel{at}studiocastillero{dot}com. Thanks internet friends! Teri and Danny, we hope you’re enjoying your European honeymoon (well, I KNOW you are)!
So, in honor of Labor Day yesterday STUDIOcastillero decided to take the day off! I know, no Monday blog post…..a day off was much needed in the area of sanity maintenance though so I promise it was for the better. Besides, I’m sure you were all out doing Labor Day festivities and didn’t even NOTICE that there was no blog post to look at. It’s always difficult anyways to come back to work after a long weekend, so I thought it much more beneficial to have your weekly post on this Tuesday instead. Ok ok Rachel, moving on to the post……
Today I have the wedding of Jen and Ken to share with you….and a lovely wedding it was! They were married at Leo Carrillo ranch in Carlsbad which was an awesome rustic venue with peacocks running all over place (who doesn’t love peacocks right?). I loved this couple….loved how great they were together and it was clear from the moment I met them, what a perfect fit they were for each other (even their names go great together!). And quite the stunner that Jen is, just check out those eyes below! Beautiful! We really had a fabulous time documenting their big day from the fire truck, to the birds, to the sweet venue, to an absolutely killer (in a good way of course) bride and groom. Jen and Ken, thank you for giving us the honor of being a part of your wedding day and for being able to contribute to these memories you’ll carry with you for the rest of your lives. You were a joy to work with and we wish the best for you and your marriage!
Enjoy the pictures my friends, and stay tuned this week for some more sweet blog posts….there are some good ones just itching to be posted!!!
