Wedding 10.26.2009 TYLER emily {glimpse}

I just love the beginning of the week….don’t you? I especially love it today because STUDIOcastillero is on a little mini vacation! We had a wedding in Carmel on Saturday so we decided to drive up and stay a few extra days here with my fabulous cousin and his lovely wife. Even us photogs need a break sometimes, right? So, that being said, if anyone emails me this week I might be little more delayed in responding, but we’ll be driving home on Wednesday and all should be back to normal then. One thing that won’t be delayed though is the Monday blog post, nope, no way. So today I thought I’d share a little glimpse from Emily and Tyler’s wedding this weekend…it was SO MUCH FUN and I can’t wait to tell you more about it, but I’ll save that for later. In the meantime, enjoy the pics! “See” you all at the other end of vacation!

Engagement, Video, e.MOTION 10.21.2009 DOUG andie {e.MOTION}

What? Wednesday and I’m posting a blog? That’s right, I just COULDN’T WAIT until Monday to share this with you! We recently had the pleasure of spending some time with Andie and Doug to shoot their engagement session. This engagement session was extra special though because we did our first ever e.MOTION (remember I mentioned this a few weeks ago?) with Tom O’Hara from Aqua Vivus Productions. Seriously, SO MUCH FUN hanging out with Andie, Doug, and Tom as we ran around downtown in search of a fire-escape and then headed out towards Julian for that oh so glorious light and those trees (OMG, those trees).  Tom, as always, you rock and we had so much fun working with you. Andie and Doug, you two are seriously SO HOT, I’m not kidding. Thank you for such an amazing time hanging out and for all your camera fierceness! I can’t wait for your Calamigos Ranch wedding in August!!!! xoxo

Ok internet, to watch the video you might want to let it load before you watch it all the way through. If you’re interested in teaming up with STUDIOcastillero & Aqua Vivus to make an e.MOTION video (it’s a fabulous thing to show on your wedding day, to your future children, to the WORLD!!!!!) just send me an email and I will gladly give you more info (rachel@studiocastillero.com). Thank so much for sharing in our excitement with this new service and enjoy the video which we so lovelingly refer to as our “Collaboration Station” (watch for some pretty sweet behind the scenes footage of Rico and I). Love you all!

Wedding 10.19.2009 JESSE caren

Happy Monday my friends! Today I’m going to share with you one of my favorites…it’s true, I just about died at this wedding because I loved it so much (you’ll see what I mean here once you look at the pictures). This is the wedding of Caren and Jesse, who we met through a friend of ours (thank Ashley!). They were married at the Thursday Club in Point Loma, and I was really excited because this was our first time shooting this venue and it didn’t let us down. Every single detail of this wedding was so thought out and perfectly them. Their theme was bird’s nests and the color was yellow (which I  am loving lately). The candy table was obviously one of my favorite details of the wedding, but then there was the tree where the guests names/table numbers were displayed, and then the ribbon with her vows printed on it that was wrapped around the stem of her bouquet. On, and then I can’t forget the fact that Caren’s father walked her down the aisle wearing his coveralls….pure awesome if you ask me. Seriously, everything was wonderful, and the most amazing part was that everything was done by them; complete DIY wedding. Do you want to know something else that you’re going to be pretty stoked about (all you brides out there)? Caren is starting to do wedding design, SO if you’re looking for some help with the design of your wedding right now she’s offering a special…FREE! Yep, that’s right, she’s willing to help you design your wedding free of charge, so if you’re interested, send me an email and I will be sure to connect you with her. Better be quick about it though because she’s only doing this for a limited number of weddings….seriously my friends, email her because IT’S WORTH IT! Ok, so I’ll stop writing and leave you to the pictures and I’m telling you, besides being floored by how ATTRACTIVE this couple is, be sure to check out the fabulous details because, well, they’re fabulous. Enjoy!

I want to give a special shout out to my good friend Allison Miller from Carlyle Whitney helping us out at the wedding. She did a fab job helping us with the some of details!

OH, and also…we just shot a Trash the Dress for Caren and Jesse yesterday and it rocked. I’m serious, complete with Luchador masks so you won’t want to miss this one. Thanks you two for being so stunning and such a blast to be around. Definitely need to get together again soon, oh and, I love your cats. They’re cute, I’m just saying.
