Welcome back to the office for all of you who had a nice long holiday weekend! I know mine was nice….spent time with my sister and the baby, then with Rico’s family and his sister’s new baby. Lots of babies (for other people of course, nothing on the horizon for us…I can promise you that)!!!!  So I thought I’d start this week off as a bragging auntie and share the pictures we took this weekend of both of our new nieces. I know you saw Addy already, but I couldn’t resist sharing more pics, and we’ve been dying to do a shoot with Amalia and jumped at the chance when she came into town from Michigan for Thanksgiving! So enjoy the pictures, they’re pretty freaking cute if I do say so myself. Amalia & Addy, we love you and CAN’T WAIT to spoil you for YEARS to come (not that you’re reading this, although that would be impressive, I’ll leave it to your parents to relay the message). Also, I was going to include some nice tips for you all about photography prep for your wedding, but I think I’ll hold off on that for today and post later this week….I’ll let you enjoy the babies for now, because really, they are quite enjoyable.

 

Whenever I think about that EXTREMELY explosive diaper that I changed for Addy, I’m just going to come back to this picture…just look at that face, totally worth it.

Engagement 11.23.2009 ANTHONY amanda

Well, today is a good Monday. Yesterday we had three meetings with some awesome brides & grooms to be, and now today, we have the day off! I love the holidays, don’t you? However, even though I’m taking the day off I COULDN’T miss out on posting the Monday blog post! So here it is, the fabulous engagement session of Anthony & Amanda.  They were referred to us by our friend Meghan to do the photography for their wedding here in San Diego (The Immaculata at USD) next March. Before their wedding though, we had a great time with their engagement session in LA. They both went to USC and are hard core fans, so we started the shoot by wandering around USC’s beautiful campus. After we left the campus we headed over to their place on the beach and finished up at sunset there.  Amanda and Anthony, we had such a great time hanging out with you and CANNOT WAIT for your wedding in March…fun time for sure! Alright internet, I’ll leave you now with the pictures so I can get back to holding my niece, although I love you all, she definitely wins with the cute factor. Wedding 11.16.2009 DANNY teri

Well, it is that day again, the day we ALL look forward to right? Well, luckily we have lots of fabulous things to help us get through the beginning of the week like coffee, gchat (come on, I know you all do it!), then Rico (he makes me breakfast, even though he doesn’t have to), NPR on the way to the office, hmmm….maybe these things are a little too specific to me. Well, one thing I’m sure we can all agree on is Monday blog posts!!!

This morning I’m in a particularly good mood so I’ve decided to post something guaranteed to make your day. Today we have the San Diego wedding of Danny & Teri for you to view/drool over. Not only is this couple stunning and fun AND stylish, their wedding was PERFECT down to every detail. Now, you all know how much I LOVE a certain store (Anthro!) and as soon as I saw all the details that the bride MADE HERSELF I almost fainted, seriously had to sit down. The amount of time and care that went into this wedding was amazing, it was absolutely beautiful and completely DIY…we tried to include as many details as we could in this post, and we have the fabulous Allison Miller from Carlyle Whitney to thank for a lot of the awesome detail shots. She assisted us that day, and she pretty much rocked.

The wedding took place at The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe which we LOVED, totally recommend it. It was the perfect location for the style of this wedding, not to mention naturally beautiful. They opted to see each other before the wedding, so we spent some time just hanging out and taking pics before the ceremony started (which we always enjoy and recommend). AND man does this group know how to party…it’s true. The reception blew me away with all the dancing (proof? see below), and THEN after the reception we moved inside for a little post wedding rave, complete with glow sticks. IT. WAS. AWESOME. I was actually very sad when we had to leave because it was one of the best dance parties I’ve been to in a while (and we go to a lot of dance parties).  I mean, what ISN’T better with glow sticks? Right?

Anyways, enough of my words because the pictures are WAY BETTER. Teri and Danny words cannot express how beautiful your wedding was, it was a photographer’s dream. Some serious congratulations to you on your marriage and on such a wonderful (and so YOU) wedding. We are completely and totally blessed to have you as friends and we cannot thank you enough for letting us be a part of your wedding and more importantly, a part of your lives.
