Happy Memorial day my friends! In honor of the holiday I am postponing the Monday post until tomorrow. Tuesday posts are awesome too right! Below is a little glimpse of our wedding from yesterday…it was Fan-flippin-tastic if you ask me. Happy BBQ-ing you Memorial Day celebrators and stay tuned for the weekly post tomorrow. Muah!
Oh man, Monday it is. I wish I could be more of a fan of Mondays…thankfully I have these blog posts to help get me through the day. This weekend was BUSY but a good busy because we were up in San Luis Obispo for a couple of fun shoots. We had a windy trash the dress session with Tim & Marijke and then a wedding on Saturday for the sweet couple Chris & Vanessa. I can’t wait to share both of those with you, BUT you’ll just have to wait now won’t you? It will be worth it for sure AND I have something fabulous to share with you in the meantime anyway. Today I am going to show you the engagement session of Mike & Lauren. For their engagement session we spent a few hours on the street that Mike grew up on in Malibu, on the beach (not a bad place to grow up eh?). We started on the sand in his parents’ “backyard” and then walked along the street a bit to find some flowers to finish with. Lauren was very clear about how un-photogenic she is which, as you can see, is not the case AT ALL, in fact, I think these pics might have photogenic overload! Lauren, you’re a stunner (Oh m goodness gracious I wish I had hair like yours!)…Mike, you’re adorable, AND together you two really are perfect. I CANNOT WAIT until your Malibu wedding in 7 days! Enjoy!
oh yes, even the dolphins showed up.
Hello Monday blog visitors! I have to make this short (and sweet) today because we are headed off to San Fran for an engagement shoot today. We had a whirlwind weekend with a boudoir session, wedding at Mt Woodson, then an engagement session yesterday and I am left feeling inspired, so I’m pretty excited to go to one of my favorite cities EVER and shoot yet another sweet couple. Since we’re on the topic of sweet couples, let me tell you about Liza and Mark. He is an architect, she is in interior design, they live is Santa Monica, AND they are getting married at a rad house in Del Mar in October. Rico has a degree in architecture just like they both do, so they were quite the match for us. They wanted to do their engagement session in Santa Monica since that is where they live and it means a lot to them and their relationship, so we spent some time roaming around the neighborhood, near the pier, and then headed up the coast a bit to Malibu for the finishing touches. It was a fun day spent with great (and stylish!) new friends who inspire us…doesn’t get any better than that if you ask me! Oh, and they are gems in front of the camera, an added plus for sure. Liza and Mark, thank you for being so welcoming and so refreshing to spend time with! We adore you and we will see you in Del Mar in October (or most likely sooner, because that’s a long time to wait!). Enjoy the pics internet friends, Liza and Mark definitely qualify as a Monday morning brightener!
