Engagement 05.10.2010 JOE heather

Oh my goodness, I know I’m SO LATE on posting today! Been one crazy weekend and morning, so my apologies. How about I make it up to you by posting some sweet pics? Sound good? Ok, done. First things first, I know you’re all DYING to hear about our weekend so sure, I’ll fill you in. We had a little stay-cation on Thursday and Friday at the Omni hotel in San Diego, we hooked them up with some pics from a wedding we shot there so they hooked us up with a suite and a discount, AND free champagne and chocolate in our room waiting for us when we got there. Thank you Omni! Also, thank you for the excellent service at the margarita poolside bar…so good that even my sunburn was worth it! After our little anniversary stay-cation celebration, we had a weekend full of shoots, awesome ones at that. Then some time spent with one of our moms yesterday to top it all off. Thanks to everyone for making this last weekend a good one and boy oh boy am I dying to share the pics already! All in good time my friends, editing magic time in the works.

I do however, have those sweet pics I promised earlier to show you, and they are from the engagement session of Heather and Joe. This couple found us on one of our fave wedding blogs, Wedding Chicks and it was love at first email. Heather also referred us to Rebecca (see post below) who is her coworker and friend, so we’re pretty much one big happy family (Murray included OF COURSE). So the day after we shot Rebecca and Matt’s engagement session in San Fran we met up with Heather and Joe to shoot theirs! We started out riding some bikes (Murray rocked the basket) and then headed to the rooftop of their apartment. I love rooftops, especially when Heather and Joe are on them and posing for our cameras. After that we made an appearance at the palace of fine arts where they got engaged, and then took a little stroll to the beach. The day was perfect with the wind providing awesome movement and sky doing it’s pre-storm thing, so that combined with a hot couple gaurantees success. Heather and Joe, thank you for the wine and cheese, the fun times playing fetch with Murray, and for letting us play with your ipad (Rico’s bday is coming up next week..hint hint). Your Newport wedding is only several months away and I’m getting my dancing shoes ready! xoxox

Engagement 05.03.2010 MATT rebecca

Well, believe it or not it really is Monday again. I will admit that today I find myself in a somewhat zombie-like state, but we had a weekend full of AWESOME shoots so it was totally worth it. I am, however doing my best to remedy this monster with some blessed caffeine, the album Go by Jonsi (buy it, put it on repeat, and thank me later), AND of course, the Monday post! Enter Rebecca and Matt. Oh boy, I really really really like Rebecca and Matt, REALLY LIKE them. Rebecca is an artist and as soon as she told me that her favorite color is light, I knew that this was the start of a beautiful friendship (yes yes, she knows it’s not an ACTUAL color, but you know what? It should be!). So we met up at their apartment in San Fran, ran through a forest, jumped on a trampoline at Baker Beach (thanks Ryan!), headed to North Beach for a fabulous Italian dinner and wrapped up the shoot at one of their favorite art pieces in the city (flying books…SO RAD). Oh, and did I mention they were attractive and in love (good combo) and we got some pretty sweet pictures? Don’t believe me? See below.

Matt and Rebecca, we had a blast hanging out with you and are so happy to have you as our friends. Yay for trees, and light, and love, AND Berkley weddings in the fall! Can’t wait!
