Wedding 09.27.2010
MATT elena
Is it just me or is the Darlington House rad? Definitely not just me. It really is one of my favorite venues around so I thought that since I am in a good mood today because I had a DAY OFF yesterday, that I’d share a Darlington House wedding. Who loves you? Yep, that would be me…and I love you even MORE than those margaritas and sweet potato flautas I had yesterday from El Camino in South Park (days off = WIN). Matt and Elena were AMAZING to work with, they booked us well over a year in advance, were COMPLETELY organized (Elena plans events for SDSU, so she’s a regular pro) and on top of keeping us in the loop, they had photogeniosity (is that a word?) coming out of every pore. Oh yeah, and they have some pretty mean dance skills (pics below to prove it)! Matt and Elena, your day was beautiful and perfect and an absolute blast, we definitely need to hang out again SOON because, well, we adore you!
Also, a shout out to the following amazing vendors that helped make the day perfect:
Venue: Darlington House, La Jolla, CA
Catering: Continental Catering
Florist: Rae Floral
DJ: TNT Mobile DJ
Cake: Sweet Cheeks
And with that I’m off to answer a gazillion emails and contemplate getting bangs (my stylist is cringing right now), OH AND also, a small announcement: Every year we only book a certain number of weddings in order to provide the best possible service to our clients and maintain our own sanity (no one wants a burnt out wedding photog!), so for next year (2011) we are only accepting 5 more weddings. Just wanted to let you know in case there are a few of you procrastinators out there (something I’m incredible guilty of). Thanks my friends and enjoy the pics!

We designed the logo, which the AWESOME baker then frosted onto the cake…so great to see our work in edible form!

SEATTLE
Today is Wednesday and despite the fact that I was up LATE last night editing, I find myself in a pretty good mood today. Why? Well, Rico and I are going to see Muse live tonight at SDSU….this is a concert that I have been waiting to attend for YEARS. And to top it off, one of our favorite friends (and our website creating/hosting genius) James is coming too! Oh man, maybe I should just take the whole day off and go get a margarita to celebrate RIGHT NOW. hmmmmmm……or I’ll post a blog just as celebratory if you ask me, especially when blogging about vacation. I know, a few of you who know us probably thought that word didn’t exist in our world but it’s true, we are known to take a vacation here and there (even if just a couple of days). Well, last week we shot the LOVELY wedding of Ellen and Richard at Wallace Falls Lodge just outside of Seattle, and we decided to stay for a few days in the city afterwards. Seriously LOVE that city….I felt like I was home. So we ate A LOT of mind blowing vegan food HERE and HERE and HERE (oh to live in a vegan friendly city), walked A LOT, slept in every day and THOROUGHLY ignored my inbox (which meant trouble this last week, but still worth it). We stayed at the Ace Hotel and The Hotel Sorrento (thanks Erica! xoxox) where we didn’t make the bed AT ALL, not that that’s different from normal life but still. Oh yes, then we took many many many pictures. So, for a little mid week treat I thought I’d share some pics from our little vacation in hipster land and encourage you all to get to Seattle….you won’t regret it, and quite possibly may never leave.

We LOVED the Ace Hotel, sooooo…we took pictures.

Dinner at Sutra and Cafe Flora…orgasm for our taste buds AND my camera.

Engagement 09.20.2010
CHRIS jordan
Is it really Monday again? Yes, I guess it is. Today is a special Monday because Rico and I have a wedding to shoot today. However, I couldn’t miss out on the weekly post so, I thought what better shoot to share with you than the engagements of Chris and Jordan, the couple who is getting married today. Gotta run because coffee is calling my name, but before I headed out to their wedding I wanted to send them a little blog love for their special day. Chris and Jordan, you’re rad, it’s true and I seriously can’t wait for your wedding here in a COUPLE hours!!! xoxox
