Wedding 01.31.2011 CHRIS jordan

Monday friends! How are you? Miss me over the weekend? You don’t need to answer that, I know you did. Right??? We shot the amazing wedding of Rachel & Jeremy at the Women’s Club in Santa Barbara on Saturday, and it was epic. I will of course give you all the details once we post that wedding, but let me tell you, it was amazing. Two of my fave clients were there too and boy did we work that dance floor. Tiffany, thank you for the slow dance…it was a definite treat. And another nice little tidbit, several guests came up to us at the wedding saying how much they love the Monday posts, and that they’re as important to them as their Monday morning coffee. That seriously makes me SO HAPPY to know that there are peeps out there, some that I’ve never even met, enjoying our Monday posts and putting up with my constant ramblings. You are appreciated people, I adore you all!

And with that, now for this week’s Monday treat; Chris and Jordan. And what a treat they are! These two lovelies were hitched at the Coronado Community Center on a Monday in September and it was awesome overload, complete with two of my very favorite color combinations; yellow and gray. They were referred to us by our great friend Cody Small over at Caava Design, who also designed the mind blowingly rad invitation set (you rock Mr. Small!). And let me tell you, it has been a piece of cake working with these two throughout the entire process. They are into photography as well, so they basically planned their schedule around the photography (win!) and really trusted us to just do our thing (major win!). The day went off without any problems and we enjoyed our little romp around Coronado and being a part of such a lovely wedding. Chris and Jordan, thank YOU for choosing us to be a part of your day, we loved every minute of working with you and now that makes us best friends…WHICH MEANS we need to hang out soon, talk photography and our favorite color gray, oh and your amazing taste in music. Muah!

Invitations of rad-ness thanks to Mr. Small. Great job at incorporating their engagement pics too!

AquaVivus Prod,Proposal,Studio news 01.25.2011 JOSH allie

Weelllllll, two blog posts in two days..going strong people! Today we have some exciting news to share with you. We’ve started a little partnership with two of my very favorite wedding vendors in Southern California, Carter & Cook Event Company and Aqua Vivus Productions. And what have we been scheming you ask? Well, guys & gals, planning a proposal can be quite the nerve wracking thing for a soon to be engaged person. So why not put that in the hands of the pros? That’s where we all come in, to save your proposally-stressed day! The lovely ladies over at Carter & Cook will help you plan/execute all the details (based on your vision of course), then Aqua Vivus and ourselves will shoot it so you can re-live the moment over and over and over (and post on facebook, etc etc).  Carter & Cook wrote about the service in more detail over on their blog HERE, so head on over to read more. Right now I give you our debut couple, Allie & Josh. We had a lovely time a few weeks ago hiding on the dock in stealth mode for this proposal, and not only was it a total blast, everything turned out perfectly. So check out the pics and video below, and join me in wishing Josh and Allie a big congrats on their engagement and upcoming marriage!

oh, and ps. MANY MANY thanks to Carter & Cook and Aqua Vivus for being so easy to work with and some pretty gosh darn awesome peeps to hang out with (drinks at the Pearl again soon? I think so. xoxoxox). Then also the band The Brightest Lights for writing this song specifically for this film..thank you!!

Engagement 01.24.2011 JEREMY rachel

The loveliest day of the week has now arrived…oh Monday, definitely made better by the fact that I have NOTHING on the calendar today and a sweet engagement session to share with you. That and the fact that I’m listening to Radiohead as I write this, which ALWAYS makes the day better and more inspiring if you ask me. And talk about inspiring, Rachel and Jeremy are just that. They braved the rain and LA traffic (freeway.in.the.RAIN…those of you in southern cali will understand that feat) and ventured down to San Diego for a little engagement session action. They were somewhat frazzled from the drive, and we only had about 30 minutes of light left but they pulled it off and it the most epic of ways. Rachel and Jeremy, thank you for coming down to San Diego to shoot in the rain and the dark, we had such a great time and really REALLY, I mean really, can’t wait for your Santa Barbara wedding this weekend. It’s going to be rad-sauce …I can almost taste it. Enjoy!

ssshhhh….don’t tell the authorities we let the pup swim in the fountain.
