Time for a little Monday check in don’t you think? I’m in a pretty good mood this morning, we had a fairly slow weekend spent with a rad shoot in LA and time with some of my faves (Andie and Marin!). Then we had some good times with family yesterday where we fully embraced brunch (mmmm…vegan biscuits and gravy with tofu scramble). The weekend was slower but it was just what we needed in preparation for the season launching in FULL FORCE for us next Saturday. So, I’m going to spend this week resting and prepping (and emailing of course) in order to be all set for our crazy May…I can’t wait! And with that I’ll share an inspiring engagement session with you today. Holly and Dagan live in DC and are getting married in San Diego next year. They flew out here for a bday celebration, and decided to get a head start on their e-pics while they were in town. We’re all about getting a head start and hanging out with cool peeps (ESPECIALLY when margaritas are involved)! Holly and Dagan, we had such a great time getting to you know and spending those few hours wandering around San Diego shooting (props to Ortegas and rad freeway overpasses!). You two are so sweet and so perfect for each other, and I seriously can’t wait for your intimate and unique and SO YOU wedding next year. Come on 2012!
Friends! Happy Monday to you all! Rico and I enjoyed our weekend with two engagement sessions and a whole lot of relaxing (I was under the weather…good excuse to sit around and do nothing right?). Since I don’t have tons of energy and nothing much to report from our end I’ll move on to the rad couple featured in the blog today (they are more interesting anyway!) Today we are SO excited to share the engagement session of Jaron and Jen with you. This couple, I adore them, why? Weelllll because they are easy going and fun AND have good design style (mmmm…my kind of peeps). A few weeks ago we were able to meet up with them in Culver City for some e-sesh action and it was epic…we shot at Jen’s place, roamed around the city, and laughed A LOT. Engagement session success if you ask me. Jen and Jaron, you are so amazing and such a great couple AND we are so excited to be a part of your wedding this June. It is going to be even more epic, I can feel it already! Have a great week my friends and enjoy!
I know, I know my jokes are just too much to handle…..
Hola mis amigos de Lunes! As I am sure you all know (because you read the blog every Monday right? RIGHT?) Rico and I are currently in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. mmmmmm…and boy is it amazing here, that’s for sure. And not only because it’s tropical weather perfection with amazing margs, but the best thing is that we just spent about a week with one of the greatest groups of New Yorkers EVER. Yep, it’s true. We came here for the wedding of Shannon and Andy that took place on Saturday. We had decided to stay a few days early and a few after because we wanted to relax and spend time with the couple and wedding guests, and seriously, best decision ever. We have had such a great time hanging at the pool, in the sand, dancing and margarita-ing with all the wedding guests the last 5 days…destination heaven. Shannon and Andy are from New York and they found out about us from another one of our lovely couples Andie and Doug last year. We never met until we showed up at Petit LaFattite Resort last Wednesday, but it was definitely love at first site (as I had imagined it would be). Shannon and Andy, this week was perfect, the welcome reception (gotta love those Shandys…..mmmmm), the FANTASTIC resort with the BEST STAFF EVER, the fabulous wedding (and dance floor of course), and the HOURS spent just hanging out with you were some serious perfection. We are so happy we met you and are SO HAPPY to call you good friends! We love you two together…I can really see you found “your person” in one another which is so beautiful and definitely something to be celebrated. And we definitely can’t wait to continue celebrating with you for the years to come, in New York AND San Diego. Thank you for being amazing people and WE MUST SEE YOU SOON (and that goes for all you lovely guests we had the pleasure of hanging out with as well, Julie, Laurie, Janice, Heather, Tammy & Tammi, etc….thank you for opening our eyes to your very specific and special dance move)! Enjoy the pics my friends and the hotness that is Shannon and Andy…..
ps. I propose a Shandy Wedding Reunion next year at Petit LaFitte…what do you think? Great idea right?
And a midnight jump in the pool at the end of the reception? Genius.
