So, I have this friend….more like a sister. I call her Bunny (her real name is Erin). I love her. Yep, it’s true….more than most people in this world, do I love this girl. She has a fabulous husband and beautiful little girl who I also adore. Well it turns out she’s expecting another little one to add to the family. I KNOW without a doubt, that he will be just as fabulous. They came to visit Rico and I on our one weekend off this year in June and it was bliss. We watched movies, went shopping, ate nachos (vegan..duh!) AND we took pictures! We don’t normally do maternity shoots but we thought we’d make an exception. These pictures make me happy every time I look at them so I thought I’d share that joy with you here. So, there you have it, Erin and Shaun and the little one…can’t wait to meet you Dez! xoxo

Thursday! I don’t really know why, but I certainly love Thursdays! Maybe has something to do with the end of the week and all the coming weekend shoots we have to look forward to, especially this weekend. I thought that today I’d change things up a bit and share with you a maternity shoot we did recently. We don’t do maternity pictures very often, but Emily and Brett are great friends and fellow photogs and we were honored to capture such a beautiful time in their lives. Maternity pictures are so fun and totally different than our normal shoots (don’t normally focus on any growing bellies when shooting weddings and engagements). So it was fun to branch out and practice our maternity shooting muscles and have a blast experimenting with the Faulknors. Seriously, we love you two and can’t wait to meet baby North VERY SOON! Enjoy!

Happy Monday my friends! I am currently in bed battling the flu, so I hope your Monday is going better than mine! I won’t let the flu get me down though, still gotta have that Monday blog post! I am however going to make this short, pictures do all the talking anyways right? We recently had the opportunity to do a maternity session for one of our favorite couples, Kevin & Sierra. We shot their wedding, and now their maternity session and SOON we’ll take some pictures of their little boy. They were down for doing something different so we grabbed our couch and lamp and headed to the wilderness (well, as wilderness as you can get in San Diego). We ended the night with a trip to El Indio, so I’d say it was a successful evening. Don’t believe me? Just take a look below! Alright, back to bed I go. Hello internet friends!!! I hope you all enjoyed your weekend and are feeling fresh and ready to face the week. Rico and I had two shoots this last weekend, one family shoot (15 people! So much fun and can’t wait to share) and also a lovely engagement shoot in Pasadena with our new friends Amanda and Paul (stay tuned for that blog post….you won’t want to miss it). I even found some time on Saturday to hang out by the pool where I managed to get COMPLETELY sunburned. All in an effort to be a little less whiter than snow when I wear my black bridesmaid dress for one of my best friends’ weddings in July (Carleigh, my love for you is evident by the RED covering my back…well worth it for sure!). OK OK, enough about the state of my skin, onward to the fabulous post I have for you today!

A couple of weeks ago we had the opportunity to do a maternity shoot with the lovely Jenni and her beautiful family. She and Jason have a son who is 18 months old (see cuteness below) named Tanner, who, as you’ll see below, was very helpful in pointing out just exactly where his little baby sister was….I’m almost died from cute overload, I’m serious. Jenni, Jason, and Tanner, you were all such a blast to work with and we CANNOT WAIT to spend time with you again in September for your family session!

“I know, I keep forgetting….where’s that baby again Tanner?!!” (so helpful)
