TUESDAY? I know, I let you down. Making it up to you right now though, I promise! Well May was quite the whirlwind month for Rico and I to say the least. We shot MANY weddings and engagement shoots, were in San Francisco, Palm Springs, LA, Los Olivos, San Luis Obispo…and more. On top of that we moved into our new house last week and are ready to get started on all the projects! So as you can see we have been living in crazy town and are ready for things to get back to just a bit more normal (I’m walking sans crutches now..yay!).  So although I would have MUCH rather been blogging, yesterday was spent many hours in the car. So, here we go, making it up to you!

Today’s shoot is an absolute treat if you ask me. I have the “trash the dress” session of a very special couple to share with you. We had the EXTREME pleasure to shoot Andie and Doug’s wedding last August, and through them booking us for their wedding, they have now become some of our closest friends. These two mean the absolute WORLD to me and it was seriously awesome to do another shoot with them after all the time we’ve spent hanging out, chatting (gchat!), and hours of talking photography (andie has become quite the kick ass photog herself!) and weddings and life (drinking wine?). Having them in front of the camera is like breathing and it was just what we needed in the middle of crazy season. Andie and Doug, you know how much you mean to us, SO MUCH…you might not know how hot you are though, so that’s what we’re here for. Ladies and gentleman, I give you Andie and Doug’s hotness….you’ll be crushing hard after this post for sure, Lord knows I am! xoxo

Hello all you Monday readers! I hope that your Monday is treating you well…hopefully better than mine because I am fighting a mean cold and it’s currently winning. Good thing I have a Monday blog post to cheer me up! This weekend Rico and I got to take it easy. We met up with some amazing couples for their engagement sessions (hi Holly, Dagan, Jen, and Jaron! xoxo) then to top it all off, we got to spend some time with another pair of my fave past clients and great friends in Culver City..the Greens!! We seriously meet some of the best people doing this job, sheesh. Thanks for being awesome oh AND for reading this silly little blog of ours. Not much makes me happier than when I meet someone and they say “we look forward to Monday blog posts every week!”  Seriously, SERIOUSLY? I love you all. And I think, that if you are a regular Monday post reader and you have yet to say hi, you should comment! That would make me VERY happy and I need extra doses of happy today as I struggle to keep my sneezing at a manageable level. Ok, ok to the blog post already! Oh man, I don’t even know what to say right now because I have rambled several times about how much I love this couple, Tommy and Lydia. We have shared their sweet engagement session, then their stunning wedding with you, and now we have their trash the dress to share with you today. We did this session in San Francisco early in the morning after a late night shooting a wedding the night before, and it’s safe to say we woke up that morning on empty. Luckily Lydia and Tommy are pure energy and I can’t help but be happy when I’m around them. Oh yeah, and they should be professional models because well, just look at them! Tommy and Lydia, you two are so sweet and adorable and such amazing people (and yes, I have a crush on you both). Thank you again for giving us the honor of documenting your love for each other and the joining of your lives, and your amazing style (hello amazing dress!). And double thank you for inspiring us and allowing us to do what we do. We MUST get together very soon in SF or SD! And with that, I leave with these two lovelies….enjoy!

Here we are again, Monday! Slightly later than usual, which is what happens when you sleep until noon. NOON? Yep, noon my friends. And before you think we’re just a bunch of lazies, I have good reason for our sleeping in extravaganza. We have been shooting non stop with VERY LITTLE sleep since Thursday (which is why I’m behind on my emails..sorry!), and we finished out the 2010 season with our 45th wedding on Saturday, SOOOO it’s safe to say we’re a bit tired. Tiredness for a good cause though if you ask me, which is why we’d like to show you just a little bit of what we were able to shoot the last 5 days. Kevin, Wendy, Matt, Rebecca, Tommy, and Lydia…we had SUCH a BLAST at your weddings and Trash the Dress shoots this weekend. You are why we do this job and why we love it so much, and we thank you for that. Thank YOU (and this goes to all our lovely clients out there) for making our hours of shooting and editing all worth it and for helping us fulfill what we believe we were created to be, artists. We love you all and we hope you enjoy the little glimpse from all the goodness that went on this weekend! xoxox
