Who is feeling inspired this morning? Huh? That would be me, and hopefully you too! If you need a little push in that direction though let me help you out there with a little blog action. How does that sound? Well, before I get to that let me tell you about our weekend because I’m just dying to tell SOMEONE and there is no better audience than all my blog friends out there! We had THREE weddings, yep, three. We had them on Thursday and Friday in San Diego and then drove up to Ben Lomond for a wedding in the Santa Cruz Mountains. My friends, I think I found “my place.” I have never been to the redwoods before and when we pulled up to the lodge and got out it felt like coming home. Trees are my thing, and the beauty of the redwoods combined with the peacefulness of the forest was just what I needed during this hectic wedding season. So, a little time in the trees and our little cabin on stilts has left me feeling refreshed and ready to share something amazing with you. That would be the Trash the Dress, Bridal, Day After (call it what you will) shoot. You may remember this couple from several months ago when we shot their wedding in Arroyo Grande, CA. I love them. I’m serious. They are so cute, and so in love and I just want to put them in my purse and take them home with me (but that would be weird and creeper, so I’ll refrain). We met up with them recently in Pismo Beach to get some more shots in their wedding attire (and the dress that Marijke had handmade by a friend). It was a WINDY day and so we ran around in the breeze, played on the swings, and enjoyed the sunset. It was awesome-sauce as Rico likes to say. So enjoy the pics and be inspired my friends!

and because everyone likes swings, how about some more!

Cori raul {trash the dress}
Hello there my fine friends! I hope that your weekending went well…I know that ours sure did! We had three shoots, one of which was a lovely wedding at Sunset Cliffs in San Diego (will be posting a little glimpse of those pics on our facebook fan page later today if you want to check them out, they’ll make you smile, I promise). Besides fun times with the camera this weekend, we also got to meet up with some new photog friends WHO (I’ve decided) are our photog soul mates…or perhaps our Orange County counterparts (wouldn’t want to freak them out just yet with upping the bff status quite yet). Yes, we drank margaritas, ate beans, and talked about how great Erin’s hair is (or maybe I just thought that..hmmm). Check out He&She Photography, they are rad and you should tell them. Speaking of rad, have I got one RAD blog post to share with you today. Well, maybe stunning is the more accurate word because Cori is definitely walking the breathtaking line. We had a great time with her and her fam in Pasadena getting a little dirty with her dress (as in REAL dirt..get your mind out of the gutter, tsk tsk) and breathing in the FABULOUS light we were blessed with that day. Don’t believe me? See below and be prepared to get hit with a wall of light goodness and Cori’s hotness. Oh, and did I mention that she did this session as a 10 year anniversary gift (thanks Raul!)? Yep, that’s right TEN YEARS and she still rocks that dress like it was yesterday. Cori, Raul, and Brooke….you rock, and that’s a fact. Enjoy the pics!
oh, and ps. MUSE TICKETS. Yep, they are coming to San Diego in September and we will be there. Any of you going???? We should have dinner before (yes, I’m a planner).

KRISTEN {snow}
Hello there all you three day weekenders! We kept ourselves busy with several shoots over the weekend, one being the sweet wedding at Paradise Point in San Diego that I shared in the last post. I wanted to start out the week on this fabulous Tuesday with a shoot that we did on Friday. I have for you the lovely Kristen and her trash the dress session. She is a wilderness girl at heart, so we decided to hunt for some snow and we got there just in time! It was a little cold but she was a trooper and rocked it, although not hard to rock it when you’re as hot as her…she was melting the snow for sure (yes yes, I know, I just couldn’t help myself)! Seriously though, it was such a treat to do this shoot with Kristen (one of my dearest friends) and to have a little different setting than we typically see in San Diego (sunny all the time). Alright, I hear some lunch calling my name so I’ll leave you with the pictures….always better than my words anyway! Enjoy my friends!
oh, and also a quick request. One of my couples is having a slight venue emergency. Their venue is canceling on them for their May wedding (and all the other weddings that were booked there) so they have an urgent need to find a replacement venue ASAP. I know you’re all pros out there and if you have any venue recommendations that are a bit off the beaten path in the San Diego area, please post it in the comments. Thanks you so much for your help and we love you all!!!
