Well hi there my Friday friends! Oh boy, have I got a treat for you or WHAT? Today I don’t have any stills to show you but I have a film instead. Yep, taking a small step off the path of our normal photography posts to show you something that we are pretty excited about. We have these two amazing clients, Jeff and Melissa, who we met when they hired us to shoot their wedding last July and who we’ve remained friends ever since.Jeff is an independent filmmaker here in San Diego and since Rico has a knack for the camera, he’s helped him out on a few of his projects. One of those projects was a short film they made here in San Diego called “This is Charlotte King.” Jeff was the man behind the movie and Rico helped with the filming along with our favorite friend Tom. That film was entered in the San Diego Film Festival and ended up winning Best San Diego Film. So I’m making today bragging Friday, hmmm…bragging sounds bad, how about proud that my clients and my husband AND my fave wedding videographer all created a RAD film that won a doubly rad award Friday. Yes, that’s what we will call today. And you know what else? You should watch it. Why? Because it’s the best San Diego Film, that’s why! Well, and Rico helped film it and we all know how much we love Rico and his ability to film in a hot air balloon. SO with that, I leave you Charlotte King……
Happy Wednesday! I am super super super swamped this week catching up on emails and preparing for 3 shoots and a wedding in San Fran this weekend, HOWEVER I just had to share this awesome video with you. On Saturday we had the opportunity to shoot the amazing wedding of Sarah and Mike at Orfila Winery in Escondido, CA. It was awesome, and you know what made it even better? Aqua Vivus did the videography for the wedding and you all know how much we love working with Tom and his crew. Well, Aqua Vivus has a service called a Same Day Premiere where they show a wedding trailer at the end of the reception. It’s so great because the bride and groom get to re-live their wedding day right there with all their guests. Whenever we work with Aqua Vivus we participate in the Same Day Premiere as well by editing pics and including them in the video. What happens after that? SWEETNESS, that’s what happens. And I just so happen to have that sweetness to share with you right here. So click play and then pause to wait for it to load, then once it’s loaded check out the mini film from Sarah and Mike’s wedding….you’ll love it, I promise (oh and put those headphones on and turn up the volume…it’s even better that way!). Enjoy and I’ll be talking to you all again on monday!
Special thanks to Aqua Vivusfor being amazing as usual and to Sarah and Mike for allowing us the honor to capture your day!! xoxo
Hello to you all on this fine Thursday. I have something special to share with you today. As you may have noticed, we’ve been showcasing a lot of videos lately. That’s because, well, we love them! Thanks to the fabulous Tom O’Hara from AquaVivus Productions, who we’ve partnered with to give our clients these fusion videos of still images and video (Tom does the video, we take care of the stills). Every time we have a client that books us both we pretty much throw a party because he is such a blast to work with and we’re able to take a trip to the “collaboration station” (I know, hello CHEESY….couldn’t help myself, it’s almost Friday people!!!!!).
SO, it is my pleasure to share with you the wedding of a couple I ABSOLUTELY adore. Emily and Tyler are currently on some beach drinking margaritas, so they’re probably not reading this (if you are, no internet allowed on your honeymoon!!!!), so I won’t spend too much time gushing about how much I love them. Don’t you worry, we’ll have another post of just their pictures in the future where I can go into all the details. We shot their wedding in Carmel, CA last weekend and it was quite the wedding, a little bit of country and a little bit of beach, it was perfectly them. Emily and Tyler, you’re some of the most welcoming people I know and an absolute JOY to be around (and eat chocolate malts with). I hope you’re having a blast getting tan and I promise we’ll get together in San Francisco when you get back. Much love to you all internet and enjoy the adorableness that is Emily & Tyler (Chappy).
ps. let the video load all the way before you watch it (push play then pause and put on the patience hat. Go get some coffee, send an email…possibly to me? When you come back it will be ready for you. It’s WELL WORTH IT, I promise).
