Studio news,Video,e.MOTION 09.25.2009 BRIAN heidi {collaboration station}

Don’t you just love Friday? I know I sure do! I have a special announcement for you all today too, so this Friday can be just a tiny bit better. We are joining with Aqua Vivus Productions to offer a new service to you! Yes, that’s right, a collaboration station (as Rico and Tom like to call it) will be happening and it will be pure awesome, I can promise you that. We will be offering our clients an optional add-on to their package called  an “e.MOTION” (like engagement in motion…get it? GET IT????). It’s basically a short video vignette of their engagement session including pictures shot by us and video shot by Tom. Basically, it will be like our same-day-edit we did for Jeff & Melissa’s wedding (click HERE to view it). Instead of the wedding though, it will capture the excitement of the engagement that the couple can keep and show at their wedding, on Facebook, or to their kids, and  friends all over the world even….you get the idea. It will even be available on BLUray if you want to play it at home in HIGH Def!! Yup 1080p!!

SO, I have included a “Love Story” below that Tom (from Aqua Vivus) offers his clients. Rico helped shoot this video too, and because it was so much fun we thought, “Why NOT offer something similar to our clients? But with a little STUDIOcastillero twist?!” So this isn’t an example per se, but will still give you an idea of what we’re thinking about (To get exactly what Brian & Heidi have here, you’ll have to go to Tom since it won’t be exactly what we’re offering).

The difference with an e.MOTION will be that we will include still photographs mixed in with the video and it will be set to music (so think sweet-survival-of-the-coolest-slideshow-mutation). We will have a real example soon…. so stay tuned. In the meantime check out Brian and Heidi’s “Love Story” below, their adorable rating is through the roof!

If you’re curious about this new e.MOTION service, what it is, how it works, the cost, just send me an email to rachel@studiocastillero.com

Happy weekending my friends!

Personal,Video 09.17.2009 CARLEIGH birthday

Happy Thursday everyone! Today is a special day because it’s the birthday of a very dear friend of mine. Carleigh and I were roommates for several years during college and have remained close since then. She is dear to my heart and one of the handful of people I know that truly understands me (a tough task too, I kid you not). Carleigh, I love you and I wish you the best on your birthday. I know you’re heartbroken because of Poppy’s passing, but I just know he’s watching you right now and is celebrating (along with all of us) your life and the beautiful strong woman you’ve become. Thank you for being such a blessing to me and and to everyone around you (I know there are a lot of you out there that feel equally as blessed to have Carleigh in your life).

In honor of Carleigh’s birthday I thought I’d post the wedding video we made for her this past July (if you look closely you might just spot me, I’m one of the bridesmaids). I love you Carlosita and Happy Birthday!!!! xoxoxo

Video,Wedding 08.05.2009 JEFF melissa {wedding trailer}

So I shared this already on our facebook fan page, but I wanted to share it on the blog as well. Why? Because it’s fabulous!!! All fabulousness should go on the blog! At the recent wedding of Jeff & Melissa who I just gave you a small glimpse of (don’t worry, a longer post about them will come soon) we had the opportunity to work with Tom of Aqua Vivus Productions. I know, I know, I rave about him often, but he’s amazing so I can’t help it!  At the wedding, we did a same day edit with him which we showed towards the end of the reception (videography by Tom, photography by yours truly and Rico). Just wanted to share our collaboration with Tom’s awesomeness, and say, if you’re looking for a videographer, check him out, seriously, do it! Before you watch the video it’s better for you to let it load completely so you can watch it without any kinks. So push play, then pause and wait until the loading bar goes all the way across (I know most of you probably already know how to do this, but some might not, so I wanted to explain!). Oh, and be SURE to watch for Rico doing the moonwalk at the end…quite the treat.

Aqua Vivus Productions teamed with STUDIOcastillero to create this movie.
